Sleepers is a photographic series that magnifies how we sleep as an event, by exploring its gesture as a response to communicate with our body.

 

These photographs are as part of a more extended collection which explores the concept of Drifting, by studying the presence of human body as a subject in connection with a non-visible space which stands between the real and the imaginary.

 

This investigation, far from the pretention of providing an explanation of why we human are always drifting, it intends to configure situations which reveals the incomprehensible; a knowledge that goes far from reason, that is to say: the intuition.

 

Bering in mind this proposal, as this series was being created under a state of conceptual freedom, as a way of mental liberation so that to strengthen another project with different concept and form, it was unexpected the fact that, progressively it overcome the original project.

 

If we reflect on its process of creation, these photographs that were never thought as art, with no judgment or intellectual approach made, they now become the centre of a theory as to rethink art as meditation.
